Earnings call records are financial event records for publicly traded companies, sourced from a financial event transcription platform.

Despite the collection name, records cover five event types via externalEntityType: presentation (~53%), earnings_release (~25%), earnings (~13%, the actual earnings calls), special_situation (~7%), and investor_meeting (~1%). Filter externalEntityType: { eq: "earnings" } when you specifically want earnings-call events.

Two fields are conditionally populated by event type: fiscalYear and fiscalQuarter are set for earnings and earnings_release events and null for all other types. consolidatedTranscript is present on nearly all earnings events, roughly half of presentation events, and never on earnings_release events.
